Devon MP Anthony Mangnall is urging South West Water (SWW) to compensate residents and businesses in Brixham affected by a cryptosporidium outbreak.
SWW has increased compensation to £215 for customers still under boil water advisories. Mangnall, whose Totnes constituency includes Brixham, is pushing for “case by case” compensation for local businesses.
He has organized a meeting between Brixham’s Chamber of Commerce and SWW to discuss the compensation process.
David Harris, SWW’s incident director, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting affected customers and businesses, particularly before the Bank Holiday weekend.
